We hire new members for GDSC KIIT every year to keep up with our effort of building an inclusive student developer community here in KIIT. The recruitment usually happens around September/October of every year and we only conduct the recruitment once a year.
Can I become a member in first year ?
Yes you can, if you have the relevant skills in your domain of interest and are very interested in helping build a community then we would love to have a chat with you. A lot of our members joined GDSC KIIT in their first semester.
What kind of skillset do I need to become a member ?
When we look to expand our team we look for developer advocates - people who have intermediate level of skill in their domain of interest and are very excited about building communities around tech that they love.
What is the recruitment process like ?
It's a two step process. We release a form where we ask for some details like name, email, links to your various profiles your resume etc. Then we go through all the submissions and shortlist people and schedule 30 min casual interviews to get to know you a bit better and understand your work and aspirations. If we like your work and your ideas, welcome aboard 😄
