Cybersecurity is a vast field and believe me it more easier to find average/repetitive/low quality/incomplete resources than to find the right ones. Therefor putting forward the path I think is important to complete the pre-requisites.
So here it goes:
Understand Linux: Linux is what you'll find most of the opensource tools compatible with. Say it nefarious Metasploit or the handy Nmap and knowing your work environment is the first thing you should prep for. One of the best resources you can find is [Bandit-Over the wire](https://overthewire.org/wargames/bandit/bandit0.html)
. It will teach you everything that will make you fall in love with linux.
Understanding How Computer Network Works: As a cybersec enthusiast your aim is to first understand how your target(network devices) works and then find any loop holes to fix it(yes, read that again "Fix"). One of the great ways to understand it to cover CCNA syllabus at least till Subnetting. Imran Rafai Videos will help you to complete that.
Let's get some free pathways: Internet is full of awesome content and one of the best ones can be found on Tryhackme. Explore pre-security path and then sky is the limit. Once you complete the pre-security path I suggest you checking this image and try to research what domain you wanna go next.
**Some resources: **
Videos: TCM Security, David Bombal
Certifications: eLearnSecurity, PNPT
In last I would say cybersec is more about understanding how things work than how we break it. These are my resources feel free to share yours in the comments.
Have Fun Saving cyberspace.
